While the Fennec Fox has not yet been listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, conservationists are extremely worried that these species will soon be threatened. This Fox originated from Sahara of Northern Africa, and is under constant threat as its being intensively hunted by humans, and preyed on by predators. This small nocturnal animal feeds off rodents, plants, birds, insects, eggs and rabbits. They have an astounding jumping ability, and can leap more than one meter forward. Since they live in the dessert, they can live without free water since their kidneys have evolved to restricted water consumption. We hope the hunting of these animals will reduce, so that these cute foxes will stick around for a while.
